The Berdychiv history museum
The museum of history is situated at the City of Berdychiv at the Region of Zhytomyr in Ukraine.
The Berdychiv history museum is located at the former priests’ outbuilding, which belongs to the Monastery of the Barefoot Carmelites.
The Berdychiv history museum was opened on November 14, 1926. In an agreement with the pre-war data, there were many different things at the museum: the samples of the valuable fabrics (the brocade, silk, velvet); the gothic and baroque sculptures; the high art value paintings; the hundreds iconography samples; around the 30 antique literature volumes; an unique collection of the philosophical literature from the XVI century; above the half thousand of the carpets. These museum exhibits along with the valuable things at the monastery, the church utensils, the weapons, the Polish legions flags, the books from the rich monastery library created a foundation of the museum fund. Among the numerous exhibits in the museum funds, the Bar’s ceramics such as the painted jar (the painted jug) is presented.
The Berdychiv history museum visitors have an opportunity to learn more about the high art creations, which appear to be considered as the Ukrainian people heritage and they must be transferred to the next generations.
