The «Busha» state historical-cultural reserve

The «Busha» state historical-cultural reserve – the state heritage park, which is situated in the Village of Busha, the District of Yampil’, the Region of Vinnitsa, the State of Ukraine. The reserve was created by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 18, 2000. This heritage-site was created with a main goal to preserve the monuments of the architecture, archeology and history. All the monuments in the «Busha» state historical-cultural reserve are united by the common territory. There are the 8 objects to take a look at: - the 4 monuments of archaeology from the ІІІ thousand BC up to the ХІІ century AD. - the remains of the fortress and the underground passages from the XVI –XVII centuries. - the town hall from the XVI century, which is situated at the private estate. - the Pre-Christian and Christian rocky temple with the unique art relief from the V - XVI centuries AD. - the cemetery from the XVIII - XIX centuries. The historic sculpture park, where the stone sculptors like to meet every year, is situated at the reserve territory. Among the numerous museum exhibits, the art products by the Bar’s potters are presented. At the museum funds, the Bar’s ceramics unique samples are collected, researched and preserved. Here, it is possible to look at the Bar’s painted jars, the original painted enamel bowls, the vases, the jugs. The painted enameled/un-enameled terracotta jars and jugs of different dimensions can be found there. There is a great diversity and quantity of the Bar’s potters ceramics products, which are present at the museum funds and exposition. This fact tells us a story about the Bar’s ceramics great popularity and longevity among the end users. Since 1986, the «The Podolia amulet» sculptors’ business meeting takes place in the «Busha» state historical-cultural reserve over the several weeks. Usually, the masters from Ukraine and abroad make the sculptures on the selected theme during the business meeting. The Rocky temple can be described as a visit card of the museum. The temple was opened by Mr. V. Antonovych, who was a famous historian and an archeologist. A women, staying at her knees, who is allegedly praying; the tree without the leaves; the rooster at the tree, the deer and the mysterious square above them are pictured at the bas-relief. The temple was built in the beginning of the first century AD. It appeared at the Chernyakhivs’ky culture age. Sometime later, the temple was used by the Slavic tribe of Tyvertsy. This temple has the three premises, which look like the caves. Currently, the temple is listed in the Ukraine treasure book as well as in a list of “the monuments of national importance”.
