Mrs. Antonina Ivanivna Bursa-Storozhuk was born at the Village of Novosilka, District of Murovano-Kurylovets’ky Region of Vinnytsia, Ukraine on June 9, 1949.
After her graduation from the secondary school, she decided to continue her education at the folk-wind instruments’ department at the Tul’chyn’s cultural educational lyceum, and she completed her study with a distinction in 1967. She continued her education at at the musical-pedagogical faculty at the Vinnytsia’s state pedagogic institute until her graduation in 1972.
In 2000, Mrs. Antonina Ivanivna Bursa-Storozhuk obtained a Ph. D. degree within the «History and Culture Theory» specialization from the Kyiv’s national culture and art university. She presented «The History of Ethno-Musicology by Mr. Kliment Vasyl’yovych Kvitka» dissertation. In 2006, she obtained «the docent» scientific title.
Since 1985, she works at the scientific secretary position at «The Bar’s humanitarian-pedagogical college named after Mykhailo Hrushevs’ky». A teacher-methodist, an Ukrainian education excellence distinction-award holder, a correspondent member of the «Polissya» creative-pedagogy international-collaboration academy (2008).
She wrote a number of scientific papers, which were published at the pedagogic journals under the Ukrainian High Attestation Commission supervision as well as the educational press. She also writes the folk-studies novels, the biographic prose the humoristic stories and the fairytales.
Mrs. Antonina Ivanivna Bursa-Storozhuk is a head of creative laboratory on the Ukrainian folk music registering, studying and preserving; the Eastern Podillya’s singing manner researching, and also, «The Ancestors Voices» music group functioning, which is well known in the Podillya’s region.
At «The Bar’s humanitarian-pedagogical college named after Mykhailo Hrushevs’ky», the scientific conferences, the new art issues presentations and the meetings with the books’ authors under Mrs. Antonina Ivanivna Bursa-Storozhuk supervision are being constantly organized.
Mrs. Antonina Ivanivna Bursa-Storozhuk started to create her ancient things collection with the Podillya’s ceramics during her work on the Ph.D. dissertation. The village inhabitants, friends, colleagues and students provided some help with the above activities. The Bar’s ceramics products: the bowls, the jars, the platters take a special place in her ancient things collection.
A scientist has a plan to found an ethnographic museum with her exhibits’ collection at «The Bar’s humanitarian-pedagogical college named after Mykhailo Hrushevs’ky» high-education community organization.
