«The Bar ceramics folk museum» foundation local-people initiative is originated in the frames of our project

«The Bar ceramics folk museum» public initiative launching during the «The Bar ceramics place in The Ukrainian pottery heritage» all-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference with the international participation became regarded as a one more iconic moment. An essence of the initiative consists in the fact that the museum is a folk (people) museum by the definition, not by the title or by the form; namely, an every Bar / Ukraine / World resident, who has an interest in the Bar’s ceramics, can take an active part in museum’s operation. At once, during the conference, the first exhibits were added to the funds of «The Bar ceramics folk museum»: 1) Mr. Volodymyr Tytarenko, an Ukraine honored arts patron and a patriarch of the Vinnitsa’s ceramics science, presented an unique Bar’s bowl made in the end of the ХІХ century; and 2) Dr. Anatoly Sherban’, a professor of the culture science and a head of the Department of the history, arts and monuments knowledge, at the Kharkiv state academy of culture, presented a bowl and a coin-jug from the Village of Byrlyntsi-Lisovi (presently, the Village of Lisove at the Bar’s city territorial community). Also, the Bar’s ceramic jars from the beginning of the ХХ century, which were found by the project’s team during the scientific research expeditions in the Region of Vinnitsa, and then, presented by Mrs. Nadiya Lastovlyak and by the Bin’kovs’kyh family (the Village of Gorai) and by Mrs. Svitlana Borzhems’ka, a director of the arts house, at the Village of Verbove (Murovano-Kurylovets’ka territorial community), were included into the «The Bar ceramics folk museum» collection.
