Bar ceramics: future and present Roman Grigoriev is a famous person in Bar. At one time he graduated from the Department of Journalism of the Bar Humanitarian and Pedagogical College named after Mykhailo Hrushevsky, and found himself in the social and cultural activities of the local government. For the last five years, Roman worked in the city council, became a graduate student of the Faculty of History of Kamyanets-Podilsky National University. I. Ogienko, passed the training course according to the certified Ukrainian-German program "Academy of Cultural Leader" (implemented by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine together with "Goethe-Institut Ukraine" at the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine). In 2018-2020 - author and co-author of grant applications, project manager "Revival of traditions of bar ceramics", "Rehabilitation of ATO participants by means of theatrical art", "Equality Theater", "Theater at the microphone", implemented by the Bar City Council together with NGOs Barsky Moscow Art Theater with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the European Union's House of Europe program (total project budget over UAH 1 million). Today, our conversation with Roman Grigoriev is about the initiative of local activists to revive the famous bar pottery - one of the most powerful ancient pottery centers in Ukraine. - We have been dealing with this issue for the third year and have some experience in this field, - says Roman. - It is quite nice that we were noticed in the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and financially supported. In particular, 637 thousand hryvnias were allocated for the implementation of the next large-scale project "Revival of traditions of bar ceramics v.3-D". This time, responding to the challenges of the pandemic, we intend to create a trilingual virtual 3D museum of bar ceramics, which will collect previously identified samples of products and those that will be found and recorded during research expeditions in Vinnytsia and museums of Ukraine, where the project team to leave in the near future.
