The magic of Bar ceramics was studied by 52 scientists. This is something truly incredible and magical, because during the celebration of Vinnytsia Day, the potter's wheel installed next to the exhibition of unique Bar ceramics attracted everyone like a magnet. And plates and pots, where floral patterns flaunted on a white background, attracted with their unusualness. Our newspaper has repeatedly said that in ancient Bar a third of the population was engaged in pottery. Local craftsmen mostly created tableware and decorative items: bowls, half-bowls, plates, makitry, jugs and toys, some of which were even exported. And Bar ceramics still adorns the collections of leading museums in Ukraine, as well as Krakow, Berlin and St. Petersburg. "Killed" this craft of repression, famine and war. It's a pity, but now no potter works in Bar. But there are many enthusiasts who, with the support of public organizations and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, are ready to revive the craft.
