Mr. Anatoly Shvets’, an art collectioner and a private entrepreneur, was born at the Village of Pisochne, the District of Gorodots’ky, the Region of Khmel’nits’ky on 08.06.1964. He graduated from the Kam’yanets’-Podil’s’ky professional-technical lyceum №6 as «a truck crane operator».
His collection formation began in 1998, having a desire to create a beautiful office’s interior in the village’s house. The antique household things were left by an old passed-away landlady: the embroidered towels and the pottery products. A collection began with these things. Mr. Anatoly Shvets’ paid his main attention to the glass and ceramic tableware with the distinct decorative beauty during the buying process. An order was placed for «a special bigger shelf for the tableware» with the wood crafted shelves, which became a dominant furniture in the office interior like the beautiful gates into the folk art world.
Presently, Mr. Anatoly Shvets’collection has around the 500 bowls and some other ceramic and glass products with more than the 50 Bar’s ceramics samples (mainly, the ceramic jars). An anthropomorphic ceramic bottle-young-lady, which was found by Mr. Anatoly Sherban’, an ethnographer with the Ph.D. degree in the culturology, is considered to be as a main beauty of the collection. The bottle was once used for the drinks serving at the festive table and it has a look of the Bar’s rich townswoman in the fancy low-cut dress and the hat.
Mr. Anatoly Shvets’ has a plan to find an accommodation for his collection exhibition to the connoisseurs and the like-minded people.
